A post's path

Every new post of a source goes through the same steps, and the order between them is fixed. It explains why a keyword rule does not see the translation, and why AI gets already cleaned-up text. Almost every step can be set up both for the chat and for a single source — see Managing sources.

1. Source check

The bot checks the source on your plan's schedule — or more often, with fast check — and finds new posts. Which of a platform's posts go to delivery at all — stories, Shorts, replies, reposts — is decided by the platform settings. A post already delivered to this chat is not sent a second time.

2. Filters on the original text

Right after reception, before any change to the text:

• the content filter and the time filter;
• filter rules at the "Original" stage, then at the "Replaced" stage — those are checked on a copy of the text with the replacements already applied;
• the similarity filter.

A post dropped here is not delivered and spends no AI tokens; if a chat for filtered messages is connected, it is published there with the reason.

3. Text replacements

Basic replacements and replacement rules clean up the original text: links, hashtags, mentions, emoji, your own rules.

4. Translation

Auto-translation, if it is on: translation is done by AI, with Google as a fallback.

5. AI processing

The active prompts work on the already cleaned-up and translated text — in one request per post. Right after the model, filter rules at the "After AI" stage are checked — that is how AI filters work.

6. Building the message

Message content decides which media go into the post, and the message template — how the text looks: the title, the link to the original, the header, the footer, buttons. A post with no text and no allowed media is dropped here.

7. Logo removal and watermark

On photos and video covers, the source's logo is erased first (Logo removal), then your watermark is laid on top — so your own mark is never erased. The video itself is not processed.

8. Delivery

• Instant — the post goes to the chat right away.
• Deferred — the post waits in the moderation queue, on a schedule or until auto-publish, see Deferred posting.
• In channels and groups the post can come from your own bot instead of @AximoBot.

Where to see the path of a specific post

The events log shows, for every post that was not delivered, the reason and the processing trace — the steps it went through and the one where it stopped.
