Live streams and premieres

What arrives when a channel goes live, and when the recording follows.

HomeChatLive Streams & Premieres

YouTube, VK, X and Twitch publish announcements of live streams and premieres before the video exists. The recording can be downloaded only after the stream ends, so at first only the announcement (thumbnail and title) is available. Live Streams & Premieres in the chat settings decides what the chat receives.

Three options for streams and premieres.
Three options for streams and premieres.

Options

  • Only announce — deliver the announcement with the image and text; the video is not delivered.
  • Announce and video — deliver the announcement now and the finished video as soon as it can be downloaded.
  • Only video — stay quiet during the stream and deliver only the finished recording.

There is no separate poll for the recording: when a video is due, it arrives with the source's own next re-check, not on a schedule of its own.

Live streams and premieres are delivered on the Expert plan and above only; on Free and Pro they are skipped entirely, announcement included.

Notes

  • Set for the whole chat: the mini app has this section only in the chat settings, and every source of the chat follows it.
  • The video is subject to the plan's file-size limit; see Message content.
  • A live stream that runs for many hours produces a long recording; it may exceed the size limit and arrive as a link.
